without my library, my childhood wouldn’t be there. I wouldn’t be as literate as I am, I wouldn’t be so joyful. I have learnt so much from the words printed in the free books I can loan!
and now, being a teenager, having the quiet and clean place to have sanctuary in is bliss.

Tampa: Many have that place they need to escape as part of growing up. Physically, I needed to escape Tampa, FL, where I grew up, to pursue music and other artistic things elsewhere. More importantly, though, I needed to escape a metaphorical Tampa where I felt constrained personally and intellectually. Essential to this escape was my little rural library.
